Contesting from Gandhinagar in Gujarat, Amit Shah defeated his closest rival, Congress candidate Sonal Ramanbhai Patel, by a staggering margin of 4.10 lakh votes. Shah received a total of 5.26 lakh votes, while Patel managed to secure only 1.15 lakh votes.
