A case was registered against Jayaprada in Uttar Pradesh's Rampur for violating campaign rules during the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. Currently, the trial is going on in the court. Even though the court has already issued several summons, Jayaprada has not attended the hearing. The court ordered her arrest. The court issued summons to Jayaprada several times. But she did not respond to this. The court issued a warrant against Jayaprada. The court directed the Rampur police to appear before the court on March 6.
On Tuesday (February 27), the court directly announced that Jayaprada was absconding. The court ordered that a team be constituted and Jayaprada be produced on March 6. Now a team will chase Jayaprada. Non-bailable warrants have been issued against Jayaprada several times. But the police could not produce her before the court. According to senior officials, all Jayaprada's mobile phones have been switched off. She could not be contacted.
