Shilpa Made My Journey Beautiful: Lock Upp 2 Winner Shreya Kalra

Lock Upp 2 winner Shreya Kalra has praised fellow contestant Shilpa Shinde, saying her friendship and support made her experience on the reality show more meaningful.

Shreya said she genuinely loves and respects Shilpa, describing her as kind, inspiring and someone from whom she learned several important lessons during the competition.

Friendship Survived Conflict Inside the Show

Shreya and Shilpa’s relationship went through several phases during Lock Upp 2. They began as close friends, later faced a heated confrontation and eventually repaired their bond.

After Shreya was announced as the winner, Shilpa was the first person she hugged. Shilpa, who finished among the top four contestants, had also publicly expressed her wish to see Shreya win.

Shreya Praises Shilpa’s Generosity

Speaking about Shilpa’s behaviour inside the house, Shreya recalled that she frequently shared her food with others even when contestants had limited survival rations.

Shreya said Shilpa regularly stood up for other housemates and remained firm even when several contestants opposed them. She described Shilpa as someone who placed other people’s needs before her own.

Shilpa Celebrates Shreya’s Victory

Following the finale, Shilpa shared a congratulatory message for Shreya on Instagram, saying she was extremely proud and believed the victory was well deserved.

The public exchange highlighted how their friendship recovered after the disagreements and emotional confrontations they experienced during the season.

Shreya Plans to Support Shilpa’s Shelter Home

Shreya has also said she intends to contribute part of her ₹1 crore prize money towards helping Shilpa establish a shelter home.

The gesture reflects the close relationship the two developed despite the competitive environment of the reality programme.

About Lock Upp 2

The second season premiered on Netflix on June 27 with 15 contestants. Participants competed in physical and mental challenges while revealing closely guarded personal secrets to remain in the competition.

The season included Ram Kapoor, Akanksha Chamola, Shivangi Joshi, Harshad Chopda and Yogesh Rawat. According to Netflix figures cited by Hindustan Times, the programme recorded more than 50 million viewing hours.
