Actor-producer Bandla Ganesh became emotional at his daughter Janani Bandla’s wedding in Hyderabad, breaking down during her send-off after the ceremony.
Janani married Surya Teja Chilukuri on August 16 in a traditional Telugu wedding attended by several major personalities from Telugu cinema and politics.
An Emotional Father-Daughter Moment
After the wedding rituals were completed, Bandla Ganesh accompanied the newly married couple to their car.
During the emotional appaginthalu moment, he held his daughter’s hand close to his chest and appeared reluctant to let go before she left with her husband.
Ganesh was also visibly emotional at different points during the wedding ceremony, while Janani too appeared to hold back tears.
Tollywood Stars Attend
The wedding saw a major turnout from the Telugu film industry.
Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna Akkineni, Venkatesh, Naga Chaitanya, Sobhita Dhulipala, Anil Ravipudi, Trivikram Srinivas, Brahmanandam, Sunil, Gopichand, Teja Sajja and several other celebrities attended the ceremony.
Anna Konidela, wife of Pawan Kalyan, was also present.
Pawan Kalyan himself did not attend, with the report noting that he had undergone shoulder surgery in July.
Chief Ministers Attend Wedding
The guest list extended beyond cinema.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy were also among those who attended and blessed the newly married couple.
Traditional Telugu Wedding
Janani and Surya had become engaged in Hyderabad in May before tying the knot in August.
For the wedding, Janani wore a gold Kanjeevaram silk saree with diamond jewellery, while Surya wore a soft-pink pattu pancha and kurta ensemble.
The venue featured a temple-inspired mandapam, a large Lord Balaji idol, flowers, fountains and chandeliers, with pink and gold forming the main decor theme.
Bandla Ganesh’s Film Journey
Bandla Ganesh began appearing in supporting roles in Telugu films during the 1990s before moving into film production.
He later produced projects featuring stars including Pawan Kalyan, Jr NTR, Allu Arjun and Ram Charan.
His long associations within the industry were reflected in the large number of Tollywood personalities who attended his daughter’s wedding.
