Parth Pawar Gets Clean Chit In Pune Land Deal Case

The ₹1,800 crore Pune land deal controversy has taken a new turn.

Former Maharashtra Deputy CM Ajit Pawar’s son, Parth Pawar, has been given a clean chit by a government-appointed committee in the high-profile land deal case. The panel found no direct wrongdoing on his part.

The case had sparked political debate after allegations surfaced that land worth ₹1,800 crore was allegedly acquired for around ₹300 crore. The pricing and approval process had raised serious questions at the time.

However, while clearing Parth Pawar, the committee did flag procedural irregularities at the administrative level. It has recommended action against two government officials involved in the process.

In simple terms: the beneficiary is cleared, but the system’s paperwork is under scrutiny.

Why this matters? Because land deals of this scale often become flashpoints for questions around transparency, valuation, and accountability — especially when linked to political families.

The decision is likely to intensify political debate in Maharashtra, with opposition voices expected to respond strongly.

For now, the official position stands: no wrongdoing by Parth Pawar, but administrative lapses need action.
