Indian Killed As Drone Hits Kuwait Airport

An Indian national has been killed after a drone and missile attack hit Kuwait International Airport, triggering fresh fears for civilians and migrant workers in the Gulf.

The attack took place on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, and reportedly damaged parts of the airport, including civilian infrastructure. At least 63 people were also injured in the strike, according to reports.

The Indian Embassy in Kuwait confirmed the death of the Indian citizen and expressed condolences to the family. The embassy said it is in touch with local authorities and is extending support to the victim’s family.

India’s Ministry of External Affairs strongly condemned the attack and called for such strikes on civilians and civilian infrastructure to stop immediately.

The incident comes amid rising Gulf tensions, with the attack being attributed to Iran in multiple reports. Kuwait authorities are investigating the damage and security impact, while the strike briefly disrupted airport operations.

For Indian families with loved ones working in the Gulf, this news hits hard.

Millions of Indians live and work across Gulf countries, often far from home to support their families. A strike on a major airport is not just a geopolitical flashpoint, it is a direct warning about how quickly regional tensions can affect ordinary workers, travellers and families.

The victim’s identity has not been fully disclosed yet.
