Director Atlee has revealed that he was highly impressed by actor and dancer Preity Mukhundhan and wanted to cast her in one of his films, but her busy schedule prevented the collaboration. (Hindustan Times)

Speaking at a promotional event for Idhayam Murali, Atlee praised Preity’s acting, dancing, humility and dedication. He said he had considered her for an important role, but was informed that she was already committed to Aakash Baskaran’s film. (Hindustan Times)
Atlee did not directly name the project. However, the report suggests he was likely referring to his upcoming sci-fi film Raaka, starring Allu Arjun and Deepika Padukone, as it is his first film after Jawan. (Hindustan Times)
The report further speculates that Preity may have been considered for a supporting role that later went to Malayalam actor Femina George, rather than Deepika Padukone’s lead role. Atlee did not disclose details about the character. (Hindustan Times)
Preity rose to prominence through popular music videos such as Aasa Kooda and Morni. She has appeared in films including Om Bheem Bush, Star, Kannappa, Maine Pyar Kiya and Sarvam Maya. Her upcoming projects include Emo Emo Idi, Dashamakan and the Hindi film Naagzilla. (Hindustan Times)
