"Yogi Adityanath Drops Bombshell: 'Politics Not My Full-Time Gig' – What's Next? 🤔🔥"

TL;DR: Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath says politics ain't his full-time job, emphasizing his identity as a 'Yogi'. This sparked reactions from political circles, especially from SP chief Akhilesh Yadav.

In a recent chat with PTI, UP's head honcho, Yogi Adityanath, made waves by declaring, "Politics is not a full-time job for me." He stressed that he's primarily a 'Yogi' and is currently serving as CM because the party assigned him the role.

This candid confession didn't sit well with everyone. Samajwadi Party's big boss, Akhilesh Yadav, threw shade, suggesting that those who see politics as a side hustle should perhaps step aside. He remarked, "Those who consider politics as part-time should not do it at all because true politics is a field of service."

Yogi also addressed whispers about a rift between him and the BJP's central command. He dismissed such talks, stating he's in his position because of the party's trust. "Can I remain in the chair by having differences with the party's central leaders?" he questioned.

On the topic of his administration's 'bulldozer justice'—a term coined for the demolition of illegal structures—Yogi clarified it's a necessity, not a bragging right. He emphasized that bulldozers are tools for both development and removing encroachments.

Furthermore, he defended the move to prevent offering namaz on public roads, highlighting that streets are meant for vehicular movement. He pointed to the disciplined conduct during the Prayagraj gathering as an example of how large events can be managed without causing public inconvenience.

MediaFx Opinion: Yogi's recent statements shed light on the transient nature of political roles and the importance of staying true to one's roots. However, it's crucial for leaders to balance personal beliefs with the responsibilities entrusted to them by the public. The working class looks up to leaders for consistent governance and policies that promote equality and peace. Any deviation or ambiguity can lead to unrest and uncertainty among the masses.
