TL;DR š§
Rahul Gandhi has made serious allegations about mass voter deletions in Karnatakaās Aland constituency. He claims over 6,000 fake voter deletion formsĀ were submitted using mobile numbers from outside the state, and through software ā clearly pointing to a planned attempt to manipulate the electoral rolls. Many deletions were done at odd hours, with crazy speed, and targeted Congress-supporting areas. He accused the Election Commission of not cooperating with Karnataka CID, which had requested data for over 18 months. But the EC denies all these charges, calling them baseless. So who's telling the truth? Letās break it down.

š³ļø What Rahul Gandhi is Saying
In a press conference, Rahul Gandhi claimed that 6,018 voter deletion requestsĀ were submitted in the Aland constituency. Out of these, only 24 were genuine. The rest, he said, were fake ā submitted using mobile numbers from outside Karnataka.
Even more suspicious, some of these forms were submitted within seconds of each other, even at odd hours like 4 AM. Rahul alleged that this couldnāt have been done manually and pointed to a software-driven operationĀ that targeted areas where Congress had strong voter bases.
š Evidence He Shared
Rahul pointed to cases like:
Two deletions filed within 36 seconds
A woman named GodabaiĀ allegedly had her voter info used without her knowledge
Submissions made at 4:07 AM
Repeated use of non-local mobile numbers
He said these signs clearly show a coordinated effort, not random errors. He also claimed that the Karnataka CIDĀ wrote 18 letters over 18 monthsĀ to the Election Commission, asking for IP logs, OTP records, and more ā but got no proper response.
š” ECās Counter-Claim
The Election CommissionĀ has dismissed all these allegations, calling them baseless and incorrect. They said:
No voter deletion can happen onlineĀ without proper verification
An FIR was filed in 2023Ā regarding deletion attempts in Aland, but itās under legal process
They have followed due procedureĀ and not ignored any investigation
The EC insisted that voter deletions go through strict checks and people get a chance to object.
š§ Whatās Still Not Clear?
How many of these fake deletions were actually successful?
Who operated the alleged software or app that submitted the deletions?
Why is there no public disclosureĀ of logs and OTP records?
Why didnāt the EC respond in full to Karnataka CIDās repeated requests?
These questions raise doubts that need transparent answers.
š¬ MediaFx View ā From the Peopleās Side
Whether you vote for Congress, BJP or anyone ā the right to vote is sacred. If names are being deleted through shady apps and remote logins, thatās not just fraud ā thatās stealing the voice of the poor, the rural, and the working class.
If the EC has nothing to hide, why not publish the logs? Why not work with state-level investigations? This is about protecting democracyĀ ā not playing blame games.
The people deserve full transparency, especially when allegations point to manipulation in booths where the working poor voteĀ the most.
