Unseasonal Rains & Hailstorms Likely in Telangana

Residents of Hyderabad and several districts in Telangana may soon witness the first spell of unseasonal rains and possible hailstorms of 2026.

According to weather forecasts, rainfall between 20–40 mm could occur in parts of the state next week. Thunderstorms are expected on February 22, 23 and 24.

Hyderabad, Warangal, Siddipet, Khammam, Karimnagar, Suryapet and Bhadrachalam are among the districts likely to experience rain, gusty winds and isolated hail activity.

Weather enthusiast T. Balaji, known for his local forecasts, has indicated that a few areas may receive moderate rainfall accumulation.

Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) Hyderabad has not issued any formal rain or hailstorm alert. The department has only forecast mist or hazy conditions during morning and night hours until February 20.

With changing weather patterns and possible thunderstorms, residents are advised to monitor updates and plan travel cautiously in the coming days.
