Once upon a time, in the bustling kingdom of Navdarpur , there lived animals of all kinds who prided themselves on being āthe most advanced jungle in the worldā . From Wi-Fi trees to carrot-powered scooters , Navdarpur had everything⦠except one tiny problem their roads were a disaster!
Every street looked like it had been attacked by a gang of angry meteors . Potholes were so deep that sometimes fish started living in them . The citizens had even started naming the potholes! One was called āMini Oceanā , another āGrand Canyon Juniorā.
Enter Chintu the Rabbit š
Chintu was a young, energetic rabbit who loved zooming around on his carrot scooter šµ. But every day, his rides turned into obstacle courses . One day, after falling into a pothole for the third time , he shouted:
āEnough is enough! Why canāt we have smooth roads like the stories our grandparents tell?!ā š£ļøš¢
His best friend, Tinku the Tortoise š¢, slowly nodded (very slowly ):
āChange takes time but this is ridiculous even for meā¦ā š¢
š¦ The Grand Announcement š¤
Just then, King Sheru the Lion š¦ made a grand announcement:
āCitizens of Navdarpur! We are launching the Mega Royal Road Project!Ā Budget: 999 gold coins! ā
The crowd erupted in cheers .
āFinally! No more potholes!ā shouted the monkeys š.
āSmooth rides ahead!ā danced the deer š¦.
Even Tinku the Tortoise smiled though it took him 5 minutes to finish smiling š¢.
Minister Kallu the Fox š¦
The project was handed over to Minister Kallu the Fox š¦, known for his āsmartnessā (and also for mysteriously becoming richer every year ).
Kallu declared:
āWe will build roads so smooth that even a rolling coconut wonāt stop!ā
Everyone clapped š.
Construction Begins or Does It?
Big machines arrived , workers shouted instructions š£ļø, and banners were put up everywhere:
āWORLD-CLASS ROADS COMING SOON!ā
But Chintu noticed something strange
The workers seemed to be working only when someone important was watching š.
The materials looked cheap .
And sometimes, instead of fixing potholes, they just covered them with thin mud .
Chintu whispered to Tinku:
āSomething feels fishy and I donāt mean the fish living in potholes ā
Tinku nodded slowly again š¢.
Professor Ulluās Discovery š
Professor Ullu the Owl š¦, the wisest creature in Navdarpur, started investigating š.
After days of checking records š, he gasped:
āThe budget says 999 gold coins were used but I can only find work worth 200 coins!ā
āWhere did the rest go?ā
The Grand Inauguration
Before anyone could ask questions, the grand opening day arrived .
King Sheru cut the ribbon
The animals stepped onto the new road
And within seconds
CRACK!
The road broke apart .
Chintuās scooter got stuck
A deer tripped .
And Tinku well he didnāt even realize yet .
Suddenly, rain started pouring .
The ānew roadā turned into the same old pothole mess .
The Animals Revolt
The crowd grew angry .
āWhere did our gold coins go?!ā shouted the monkeys .
āThis is worse than before!ā cried the parrots .
Chintu stepped forward bravely
āWe deserve answers! This is OUR money!ā
Kalluās Excuses
Minister Kallu the Fox tried to smile
āItās uh experimental roads! Yes! They are flexible!ā
Nobody believed him .
Even King Sheru looked confused .
Truth Comes Out
Professor Ullu revealed everything :
āThe funds were misused! The roads were poorly built! This is not progress⦠this is deception!ā
The crowd gasped .
Justice in Navdarpur
King Sheru roared loudly
āPublic money is sacred! Anyone who misuses it will be punished!ā
Kallu the Fox was removed from his position
A new team was formed including Chintu š, Tinku , and Professor Ullu .
Real Change Begins
This time, things were different .
Transparent planning Honest workers Strong materials
Slowly but surely.the roads improved .
Tinku finally crossed the road without stopping halfway .
Chintu zoomed happily .
And the potholes? Gone!
Moral of the Story
Public money is a trust, not a toy .When honesty builds the road, everyone reaches their destination safely .
What This Story Reflects
This story is a satirical take on recent news reports about infrastructure projects where large budgets are announced , but the actual quality of work turns out to be poor , raising questions about transparency and accountability .
Message
