Scientists were shocked when gold and precious objects were unearthed while excavating a 12-century-old tomb. Archaeologists have discovered a tomb with gold treasures in the Central American country of Panama. This matter came to light during excavations. A 1200-year-old tomb was unearthed in the Elcano Archaeological Park, about 100 miles from Panama City. Most of the dead bodies were found in the grave. Along with them, a large gold treasure came to light. Gold clothing, bracelets, bells, belts, earrings decorated with whalebone, jewelry and ceramic objects were found in large numbers. Researchers believe it to be the tomb of an upper caste lord of the Kokle culture. Remains of 32 more bodies were also found here. It is suspected that these 32 people may have been sacrificed as per the customs of the time after the death of a nobleman. However, the exact number is under investigation.
