NEET UG 2026 Re-Exam Scheduled on June 21; Exam to Shift to Computer-Based Format Next Year

Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan announced that the National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct a re-exam for NEET UG 2026 on June 21. The move follows the cancellation of the original exam due to alleged irregularities, which are now under investigation by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). Pradhan also stated that from next year, the NEET exam will transition to a computer-based format to enhance transparency and prevent leaks, highlighting that the Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) sheets were the main source of the previous breach.
