In her appeal, Rakhi Agarwal said she was not seeking sympathy but justice for her son. She urged the Prime Minister to ensure that the case did not become “just another file” and that legal proceedings were completed without unnecessary delay. (www.ndtv.com)

Mother Describes Devastating Loss

Rakhi wrote about the dreams she had for Ketan—watching him build a life, get married and grow old with his family.

Instead, she said she was forced to perform her son’s last rites. She added that every day without justice deepened the family’s pain. (www.ndtv.com)

What Happened at Lohagad Fort?

Ketan Agarwal, a 26-year-old businessman, died after falling into a gorge at Lohagad Fort near Pune on June 18.

Police allege that the incident was not an accident and that Ketan was deliberately pushed from the cliff as part of a planned conspiracy. His fiancée Siya Goyal and her friend and alleged lover Chetan Chaudhary were arrested in connection with the case. These accusations remain subject to investigation and trial. (www.ndtv.com)

Police Investigate Alleged Premeditation

Investigators are reportedly examining evidence suggesting that the killing may have been planned in advance.

Police have looked into alleged earlier attempts, mobile-phone activity, the circumstances surrounding Ketan’s final trip and claims regarding the relationship between the two accused. (The Times of India)

Father Had Earlier Approached President

Ketan’s father had previously written to the President of India requesting an expedited trial.

The family’s separate appeals to the country’s highest authorities reflect its concern that delays could weaken the pursuit of justice and prolong its suffering. (The Times of India)

Family Seeks Strictest Punishment

In her letter, Rakhi appealed for the harshest punishment permitted by law if the accused are found guilty.

She said the family’s request was simple: a transparent investigation, a fast trial and accountability for everyone involved in her son’s death. (www.ndtv.com)
