CBI Arrests Botany Lecturer in NEET-UG 2026 Paper Leak Case; Identified as Key Source of Question Disclosure

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested Manisha Mandhare, a Botany lecturer at a prominent Pune college, as the ninth accused in the NEET-UG 2026 paper leak case. Mandhare, who had been appointed by the National Testing Agency (NTA) to set question papers and had access to both Botany and Zoology sections, is alleged to have disclosed examination questions to students in the weeks leading up to the May 3 test. According to the CBI, she organized special coaching sessions at her Pune residence, mobilizing prospective candidates with the help of Manisha Wagmare, where leaked questions were shared. The investigation continues as authorities work to uncover all individuals involved in the scandal.
