Amazon Delivery Scam Alert In Gujarat: What You Need To Know

🚨 A new Amazon delivery scam is being reported in parts of Gujarat — and customers are being warned to stay alert.

Several people have claimed they received calls or doorstep deliveries for products they never ordered. In some cases, fraudsters allegedly posed as delivery agents and demanded cash-on-delivery payments. Others reported OTP-based scams where callers tried to trick them into sharing verification codes.

Here’s the pattern: the scammer creates urgency. ā€œYour parcel is here.ā€ ā€œYour order will be cancelled.ā€ ā€œShare OTP to confirm.ā€ And in that pressure moment, victims lose money.

In simple terms: no order, no payment — and never share OTPs.

Why this matters: For Gen-Z and digital-first shoppers, online orders are routine. But as e-commerce grows, so do impersonation scams. Fraudsters exploit trust in big brands and delivery systems.

There’s also a larger issue — gig delivery networks are vast, and verifying identities becomes harder in high-volume urban setups. That gap is where scammers operate.

What to do?

• Check your order history before paying

• Never share OTPs with anyone

• Verify through the official app

• Report suspicious activity immediately

Convenience is powerful. But awareness is protection.
