“Worth ₹4,000 Crore!” Pakistani Viewers Stunned by Ramayana Trailer
The trailer of Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana has received an enthusiastic response from a group of Pakistani YouTubers, who praised its visual scale, detailed world-building and improved VFX.
The trailer, released on July 30, features Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Yash as Ravana and Sai Pallavi as Sita. Reaction videos from Pakistan have since gained attention on Indian social media.
Pakistani YouTubers Praise the Visuals
Members of the YouTube channel MZee Reactions appeared impressed by several moments in the trailer, including Lord Ram’s introduction, Ravana’s appearance, the depiction of Lanka and the large-scale Jatayu sequence.
They also appreciated the contrast between Ravana’s aggressive personality and Lord Ram’s calm and composed presence. The group described the trailer as “amazing” and said its detailing left them speechless.
Viewers Notice Improved VFX
The YouTubers said the film’s earlier promotional glimpse had received criticism but felt the full trailer showed a significant improvement in visual effects and overall presentation.
They also compared it with Adipurush, saying the new adaptation appeared more detailed in its treatment of the epic.
₹4,000 Crore Budget Defended
One of the viewers defended the film’s reported ₹4,000 crore budget and questioned why audiences were criticising the expenditure when the project was being financed by producers and investors.
Producer Namit Malhotra had earlier said the combined budget of Ramayana: Part One and Part Two would be approximately $500 million more than ₹4,000 crore.
What the Trailer Reveals
The trailer introduces Yash’s Ravana before presenting Ranbir Kapoor as Prince Ram, who fights demons alongside his brother Lakshman, played by Ravi Dubey.
It also depicts Ram’s 14-year exile, Sita choosing to accompany him and glimpses of the eventual conflict between Ram and Ravana. Lord Hanuman does not appear in the trailer, although Sunny Deol is part of the cast in the role.
About Ramayana
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Ramayana is planned as a two-part cinematic adaptation.
Part One is scheduled for release during Diwali 2026, while Part Two is expected in 2027. The cast includes Ranbir Kapoor, Yash, Sai Pallavi, Ravi Dubey and Sunny Deol. AR Rahman and Hans Zimmer are composing the film’s music.
