‘Suhagrat Express’ Goes Viral: First AC Train Coupe Decorated With Flowers, Balloons and Fairy Lights

A video showing a First AC train coupe transformed into a lavishly decorated romantic space has gone viral on social media.

The coupe was covered with red and white balloons, flower garlands, rose petals and fairy lights, making it resemble a decorated wedding-night bedroom rather than a regular railway cabin. (Hindustan Times)

The video was originally shared by a Jalna-based decoration service called Rahat Room Decoration.

According to the decorator, the Chennai-bound train was decorated at a railway station in Maharashtra, reportedly for a newlywed couple. (Hindustan Times)

The entrance to the coupe featured a pink beaded curtain with heart-shaped cutouts.

Inside, the floor was covered with rose petals, while bouquets and floral garlands were placed around the walls and windows.

The lower berth was arranged with white bedsheets and a large heart-shaped floral pattern. The folded upper berth carried cutouts spelling “I love you”, while fairy lights completed the romantic setup. (Hindustan Times)

Social media users quickly began calling it the “Suhagrat Express.”

While many praised the creative decoration, others questioned whether official permission had been obtained from Indian Railways.

Some users also raised concerns about safety, privacy and whether such extensive decorations should be allowed inside a moving train.

Hindustan Times said it had contacted both the decorator and Indian Railways for clarification. The claims were based on user-generated social-media content and had not been independently verified at the time of publication. (Hindustan Times)
