PM Modi Must Answer: Rahul Gandhi Detained Near PM’s Residence

Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi and several Congress MPs were forcibly removed and detained by Delhi Police during a protest near Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s official residence at Lok Kalyan Marg.
The Congress-led demonstration was organised in response to the police action against Cockroach Janta Party protesters during their “Chalo Sansad” march. Rahul Gandhi accused the government of refusing to accept responsibility for the treatment of students and demanded accountability from the Prime Minister, Home Minister Amit Shah and Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. Congress Demands Resignations
Rahul Gandhi alleged that India’s education and examination systems had been severely damaged and said students were protesting because they feared for their future.
He demanded the resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan and also said that the Prime Minister and Home Minister should apologise or step down over the police crackdown. (Hindustan Times)
Government Offers Parliamentary Discussion
Union Minister Jitendra Singh met Rahul Gandhi near the protest site and said the government was prepared to discuss education-related issues in Parliament.
However, the Congress maintained that a discussion alone was insufficient and insisted that responsibility must first be fixed for the alleged failures and police action. (Hindustan Times)
Opposition Leaders Join Protest
Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and K.C. Venugopal were among the leaders participating in the demonstration.
The protest also received support from Opposition figures including Akhilesh Yadav and Supriya Sule. Before marching towards Lok Kalyan Marg, Rahul Gandhi visited Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital to meet people injured during the CJP protest clashes. (Hindustan Times)
CJP Agitation Continues
The Cockroach Janta Party has continued its agitation at Jantar Mantar, demanding examination reforms and the resignation of the education minister.
CJP representatives also submitted their demands to Union Minister J.P. Nadda, while Sonam Wangchuk continued his hunger strike from Safdarjung Hospital. (Hindustan Times)
