Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that those involved in the NEET paper leak will face strict legal action and the harshest punishment permitted under the law.
Speaking at a meeting of NDA parliamentarians, PM Modi reportedly asked lawmakers to reach out to young people and reassure students that their interests would be protected. (Hindustan Times)
Students’ Concerns Must Be Addressed
The Prime Minister is understood to have told NDA MPs that students should be made aware of the government’s efforts to act against those responsible for examination irregularities.
He said that individuals already arrested in connection with the paper-leak cases would be dealt with firmly, while also accusing the opposition of attempting to mislead students over the issue. (Hindustan Times)
Statement Comes Amid Student Protests
The assurance comes as protests over paper leaks and alleged irregularities in competitive examinations continue inside and outside Parliament.
Youth-led groups, including the Cockroach Janata Party, have been demanding accountability, transparent investigations and wider reforms to India’s examination system. (Hindustan Times)
NDA Meeting Discusses National Issues
The NDA parliamentary-party meeting, now referred to as “Mangal Milan,” also discussed recent government achievements, international trade agreements and the protection of farmers’ interests.
