Mahua Moitra Calls TMC Exodus A “Cleansing”, Says She Will Never Leave Mamata

TMC MP Mahua Moitra has made a strong statement amid the party’s internal crisis.

As speculation grows over leaders leaving Trinamool Congress, Mahua called the exits a “cleansing” and said she has no plans to leave Mamata Banerjee.

She said those who want to go should go, but made it clear that her loyalty remains with Mamata.

Mahua also said she respects BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari because he openly quit TMC before joining the BJP, instead of staying inside and damaging the party.

Her comments come at a tense time for TMC, which is facing internal unrest after its recent political setbacks in West Bengal.

The party has also been dealing with rebellion, leadership questions, and speculation over its future strategy.

But Mahua’s message was direct: TMC may be going through a shake-up, but for loyalists, Mamata remains the centre of the party.

Why This Matters

For young voters, this shows how political parties don’t just fight elections outside.

They also battle loyalty, ambition, rebellion, and survival inside.
