With the upcoming elections, there's speculation that YSRCP might halt pension distributions as a strategy to target TDP and its leader, Chandrababu Naidu. Botsa questioned, “Why would Chandrababu Naidu obstruct pensions being delivered by volunteers, which are facilitated by Jaganmohan Reddy for the needy?”

Despite clear directives from the Election Commission to find alternative methods to distribute pensions without volunteers, YSRCP seems to be pushing the narrative that TDP's objections are causing delays in pension distribution. With March ending, YSRCP might start rallying people by claiming that TDP's opposition has prevented the government from disbursing pensions.
