Govt Reaches Out 4 Times? CJP Responds: Talks Still Stuck

The Centre has said it has made multiple attempts to engage with the CJP protesters, with Union Minister Jitendra Singh stating that the government approached the group four times and is ready for discussions.
The minister said talks could be held at any location preferred by the protesters, including the residence or office of Union Health Minister JP Nadda, adding that the government was open to finding a solution through dialogue.
Government Invites Dialogue
According to the Centre, four proposals were sent to CJP representatives for discussions as protests continued over examination-related issues. The government said the outreach was part of efforts to address concerns raised by students.
CJP’s Response
CJP representatives, however, said they had requested talks at Jantar Mantar, where the protest was taking place, but claimed the government wanted discussions at another location instead.
CJP spokespersons questioned the government’s approach and maintained that discussions should happen in the presence of protesters at the protest venue.
Protest Over Exam Issues Continues
The development comes amid ongoing protests demanding accountability over alleged examination irregularities, reforms in the education system and action against those responsible.
The Centre has also announced measures including fast-track courts for paper leak cases, while protesters continue to demand broader reforms.
