The situation escalated after CJP supporters attempted a march towards Parliament as part of the “Chalo Sansad” call.
Police and protesters presented different accounts of the clashes that followed. Authorities cited law-and-order concerns, while protesters alleged excessive use of force during the crackdown.
Rahul Gandhi Joins Opposition Response
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and other opposition leaders supported the protesters after the police action.
