Chiranjeevi has once again lived up to his famous “Chiru leaks” reputation by revealing the title of his upcoming 158th film before the makers could officially announce it.
During a promotional event for his nephew Varun Tej’s film Korean Kanakaraju, the megastar let slip that his next film with director Bobby Kolli is titled Kadiri.
The makers had reportedly planned to unveil the title officially on August 22, along with a teaser.
How The Leak Happened
At the event, a promotional video from Mega 158’s launch ceremony was played, showing Chiranjeevi joking about revealing the film’s title.
The anchor then encouraged him to leak the name on stage.
Music composer Thaman S reportedly tried to stop him, but Chiranjeevi casually asked whether the title had already been included in the upcoming teaser and then blurted out “Kadiri” before covering his mouth.
“I Can’t Stop Myself”
After Thaman urged him not to reveal anything more, Chiranjeevi joked that he simply could not stop himself.
The moment instantly fit into the long-running “Chiru leaks” meme among Telugu cinema fans, where the actor has become known for unintentionally or playfully revealing details about films before official announcements.
What We Know About Kadiri
Kadiri is Chiranjeevi’s 158th film and reunites him with director Bobby Kolli.
The actor is currently shooting for the project, with Thaman S composing the music.
An official teaser is expected on August 22, despite Chiranjeevi already giving fans the title ahead of schedule.
What About Vishwambhara?
Chiranjeevi’s long-delayed socio-fantasy film Vishwambhara, directed by Mallidi Vassishta, is still awaiting a major update.
The film had originally been scheduled for release in 2025 but was postponed after criticism of the teaser’s visual effects.
Chiranjeevi was last seen in Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu, directed by Anil Ravipudi, which the report says collected more than ₹300 crore at the box office.
He also has another project with director Srikanth Odela lined up.
