It is said that these deaths have occurred in connection with rains, floods, landslides and lightning. The Union Home Ministry has compiled this report by collecting data from across the country from April 1 to August 17. In addition to these, 101 people were drowned in the floods and 1,584 people were injured. While 2,038 people died in the country as a whole, the highest number of 518 people lost their lives in the state of Bihar alone. Himachal Pradesh, which has been affected by the rains, is in second place with 330 deaths. A total of 335 districts in all the states of the country have been affected by these rains and disasters. It includes 40 districts of Madhya Pradesh, 30 districts of Assam and 27 districts of Uttar Pradesh. 12 districts of Himachal Pradesh and 7 districts of Uttarakhand have been severely affected by rains and floods, according to the Union Home Ministry report. While 186 people died in landslide accidents, 506 people died due to lightning.
