Shilpa Rao's Mic Cut Mid-Set at Mumbai Event, Sparks Outcry

Shilpa Rao's mic was switched off mid-set during her performance at the 10th anniversary edition of the Bollywood Music Project in Mumbai on October 24. The incident occurred due to scheduling delays, cutting her performance short. As she attempted to thank the audience, the next performer, Kutle Khan, began his set, interrupting her closing remarks. Shilpa expressed her disappointment on social media, writing, "Mumbai, a little piece of my heart broke tonight. It hurts deeply to have something so beautiful taken away from us like this." Fans criticized the organisers for mismanagement, with the hashtag #JusticeForShilpaRao trending. The organisers apologised, citing strict local guidelines and venue curfew regulations as reasons for the interruption.
