With 21 runs in the second innings against England, the hitman completed 4,000 runs in Tests. Rohit became the 17th Indian batsman to achieve this feat. Former Indian head coach Ravi Shastri and former cricketer Navjot Singh Sidhu also failed to reach 4,000 runs in their Test career. Shastri scored 3830 runs in 80 Tests while Sidhu scored 3202 runs in 51 Tests.

Rohit Sharma achieved this feat in 100 Test innings. He is the 9th Indian batsman to score 4,000 runs in Test innings. Rohit Sharma remained unbeaten on 24 off 27 balls in the second innings until the end of the third day's play. Earlier, Rohit's bat remained silent in the first innings of the fourth Test. The Indian captain got out after scoring only 2 runs in 9 balls. Rohit took 33 innings to reach the first 1,000 runs of his Test career. After that he bowled out England for 353 and India for 307 in 18 innings.

šŸšŸŒŸ Match Condition.. šŸšŸŒŸ At the end of the third day on Sunday, Rohit Sena completed 40 runs without losing a wicket. Indian team was 152 runs away from victory in this match. In the third session of the third day, the England team was bowled out for 145 runs in the second innings. England started the second innings with a lead of 46 runs and were bowled out for just 145 runs. This gave India a target of 192 runs.
