Rana Daggubati, the popular actor and producer, is all set to appear in the web series "Rana Naidu" with his father Venkatesh, which is set to release on Netflix from March 10th. During the promotions of the web series, Rana shared his thoughts on the impact of South Indian films such as RRR and Baahubali on the Indian film industry. He also recalled a funny incident that occurred with his friend in Mumbai, which highlighted how South films were perceived in the North.

Rana reminisced about the time when he met his friend after several years during the release of Baahubali. When he told his friend about the movie and mentioned that Prabhas was playing the lead role, his friend asked, "Who is Prabhas?" Rana was taken aback and struggled to explain who he was, so he started listing the movies he had acted in. However, his friend didn't recognize any of them, except for one of his co-star's husbands, which turned out to be Namrata Shirodkar. Rana found it amusing how his friend had only heard of Mahesh Babu, and he jokingly said, "Wait for four or five years. Our army will land here."

Rana also mentioned that he acted in a few Bollywood movies before Baahubali, but it was his character Bhallala Deva in Baahubali that brought him recognition on a national level.

As for the upcoming web series, "Rana Naidu," Rana believes that the scenes between him and his father Venkatesh will be interesting. The series is an Indian adaptation of the American series "Ray Donovan" and also stars Surveen Chawla, Sushant Singh, Abhishek Banerjee, Gaurav Chopra, Ashish Vidyarthi, and others.
