BJP MP Anurag Thakur made critical comments about Rahul Gandhi, alleging that the Gandhi family and Congress have repeatedly disrespected the Constitution. Thakur mocked Rahul Gandhi for frequently carrying the Constitution book, accusing him of making a mockery of it. He claimed that the Congress party's actions have consistently undermined the Constitution, and Rahul Gandhi’s family is primarily responsible for this disrespect.
Thakur questioned whether Rahul Gandhi has ever read the Preamble of the Constitution, highlighting that it mentions several issues related to corruption, which he attributed to the actions of the Congress party and the Gandhi family. He pointed out that just waving the Constitution book isn't enough; understanding and upholding it is crucial.
He reminded that the Supreme Court has criticized the Congress party for actions against the Constitution, mentioning former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi’s declaration of Emergency as an example. Thakur also recalled how Indira Gandhi cancelled elections against legal norms, questioning how such undemocratic actions could be justified.
