Ram Charan’s upcoming film Peddi is already creating massive hype months before release — but now the movie has landed in court even before hitting theatres.
The makers of Peddi have approached the Telangana High Court seeking permission for a major ticket price hike and special premiere shows in Telangana.

According to reports, the production house requested approval to increase ticket prices by up to ₹600 for premiere screenings. They also reportedly sought permission for extra late-night and early-morning shows during the release period.
The plea comes as big-budget Telugu films increasingly depend on premium pricing and fan-driven opening weekends to recover massive production costs quickly.
Starring Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor, Peddi has already become one of the most anticipated pan-India Telugu films. The movie’s posters, rural mass look, and intense transformation of Ram Charan have generated huge buzz online.
But the proposed ticket prices are now sparking debate among moviegoers on social media.
Some fans argue that large-scale films deserve premium theatrical experiences and special fan celebrations. Others say rising ticket prices are slowly making first-day cinema inaccessible for regular audiences, especially students and middle-class families.
The Telangana High Court is expected to hear the matter soon.
Meanwhile, the hype around Peddi just became even bigger.
“₹600 for a movie ticket?” is officially part of the conversation now.
