It appears that he illegally entered India via Nepal in November 2022 to stay with his in-laws in Kishan Bagh area of Hyderabad city. He was identified by the police as a Pakistani national. He was arrested from his in-laws' house in Bahadurpura. But his in-laws Zubair and Afzal are absconding. Police said that a Pakistani passport and other documents were also seized from him. Police said a case has been registered against Faiz under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Foreigners Act. The in-laws of the accused are absconding in this case.
