Open-Air Cinema Returns to Hyderabad’s Lalitha Kala Thoranam with Free Screenings

The Tourism and Culture Department has revived the open-air theatre experience at Hyderabad’s iconic Lalitha Kala Thoranam in Nampally, bringing cinema back to a beloved public space.

In collaboration with the Telangana Film Development Corporation Limited (TFDCL), the venue will now host screenings of award-winning films on a giant LED screen. The best part entry is completely free, making it accessible for families, students, and film enthusiasts across the city.

The initiative is aimed at revitalizing community art spaces and encouraging people to reconnect with cultural experiences in a shared environment. By showcasing quality cinema in an open-air setting, the government hopes to create a vibrant cultural hub that blends entertainment with artistic appreciation.

With this move, Lalitha Kala Thoranam is set to once again become a lively destination for movie lovers, offering a unique blend of nostalgia and modern viewing experience.
