Modi's First Cabinet Meeting Will Be Hold And The Allocation Of Departments Will Be Clarified


The formation of Prime Minister Modi's jumbo cabinet is complete, and it's now time for action. The curiosity about who will get which portfolio is at its peak. Some information has already started to leak from party leaders. The first cabinet meeting under Modi's leadership is scheduled for Monday, June 10, at 5 PM. The newly sworn-in ministers will attend this meeting. The portfolios are expected to be announced by the afternoon, which will clarify the distribution of responsibilities.

Key Points of the New Cabinet:

  • Cabinet Size: The new cabinet will have 72 members, making it the largest compared to Modi's previous cabinets.

  • Distribution: BJP secured 61 ministerial positions, while allies received 11 positions, accounting for 15% of the total.

  • Key Ministries: Despite the distribution, BJP is expected to retain control of the crucial ministries.

  • Allies' Share: TDP (2), JD(U) (2), LJP (1), JD(S) (1), Shiv Sena (1), RPI (1), RLD (1), ADS (1), HAM (1).

  • Experience: 36 ministers are reappointed, 36 are new, 43 have experience of serving three times, and 23 have experience at the state level.

  • Upcoming Elections: Modi is also focusing on social engineering strategies for the upcoming elections in Haryana, Maharashtra, and Jharkhand.

Interestingly, NCP's Ajit Pawar declined a ministerial position, which has raised some eyebrows.
