š³ļø A huge order has been bagged for Hindustan Shipyard in Visakhapatnam. The Defense Department has signed a contract worth Rs. 19 thousand crores. šš§ As per this contract, five large fleet support ships are to be built and delivered for the needs of the Indian Navy. āš¢ So that these ships will be useful for providing fuel, water, weapons, store equipment and food to warships operating at sea. šš¢ļø

š In a meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Security Affairs held on August 16, this decision was taken to purchase fleet support ships in order to strengthen the naval force. šāļø The central government has said that the design of each ship will be 44 thousand tons. šš ļø According to the contract, they have to be built in 8 years and handed over to the Indian Ministry of Defence. ššØ
š®š³ But this is the first time that such big ships are built in India. š¢š§ The Center says that with such a huge ship building sector, there will be wide opportunities for related micro and small and medium scale industries in ship building. šš§š³ļøš®š³
