Gopichand's biggest role in recent times is Bheem. The director has added some adjectives to Bheemudi's character to give a different feel to the movie and Gopichand has portrayed the role of a fun cop exceptionally. The actor has never looked so energetic, and his macho looks and masculine avatar are making the crowd go wild. There is another dimension to his character and Gopichand shows a fine variation in that too.
The film begins on an interesting note with a voice over explaining the origin of Parashuram's field. This opening sequence, which lasts about 15 minutes, grabs our attention. The interval episode raises the stakes and makes you look forward to the second half. Malavika Sharma's character gains more weight during the pre-climax and the actress does well here. Naresh, Mukesh Tiwari, Raghubabu and Chammak Chandra acted decently in their roles.
The movie peaks in the last half hour. Emotions, powerful dialogues, crucial twist and heroism elevation scenes are well presented here and because of this, the intense showdown clicks big. Some comedy moments involving Vennela Kishore and Rohini were good. The action sequences are brilliantly shot. An effective background score by Ravi Basrur takes the high-voltage hair-raising scenes to the next level.
