Fire accident in AIIMS

A fire accident took place at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in the national capital, Delhi. A fire broke out in the endoscopy room on the second floor of the old OPD building around 12 noon this afternoon. The patients and staff were panicked as there was an emergency ward on the lower floor of this room. Firefighters were immediately informed. The police and firemen immediately reached AIIMS and started rescue operations. Patients and staff in the endoscopic room were evacuated safely. The fire was controlled with six fire engines. The fire has been brought under control, Delhi Fire Services officials said. The cause of the fire is still unknown
