🎥 ANPR cameras (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) that spot old vehicles were either not working properly or installed in the wrong places.

🛢️ Plus, many people started doing “fuel tourism”—going to nearby cities like Noida to fill their tanks! 😆

🤝 So, after loads of complaints and tech problems, the govt decided to postpone the ban:

• From 1 Nov 2025, fuel ban starts in Delhi, Gurgaon, Faridabad, Ghaziabad, Noida, and Sonipat.

• From 1 Apr 2026, the rest of NCR joins in.

🔍 What Counts as an EOL Vehicle?

📈 Delhi tried starting this ban on 1 July. On Day 1, they seized 80 vehicles. Day 2—only 7. Clearly, something was fishy.
