Delays Pushpa-2 to Save Allu Arjun's Career Amidst Political Backlash

Director Sukumar finds himself in a tight spot, much like thunder striking a peaceful day. His plans to elevate Pushpa-2 to a national level have hit a significant roadblock. The reason? Allu Arjun's recent political involvement. During the recent elections, while the entire Mega family supported Pawan Kalyan, Allu Arjun broke ranks and backed his friend, YSRCP candidate Shilpa Ravichandra Kishore Reddy, in Nandyal, even participating in the campaign.

This move has turned Mega fans against Allu Arjun, creating a rift between the Mega family supporters and Allu Arjun's fans. As Pushpa-2's release approaches, this tension is likely to affect the film's reception. Negative comments from Mega fans about Pushpa-2 have already started circulating, worrying the producers who invested heavily in the movie. Given that the two Telugu states are crucial for the film's box office success, the production team fears significant impact from this backlash.

To navigate this tricky situation, the film's unit, under Sukumar's guidance, has made a strategic decision. Initially slated for an August 15 release, they have reportedly decided to postpone it to December. This move is seen as an attempt to let the political heat cool down and safeguard Allu Arjun's career, ensuring Pushpa-2's success.
