“Supremo and former general secretary of CPI is ideal to party ranks” stated D. Raja, general secretary, CPI . He was addressing a meeting at press club, Basheerbagh, Hyderabad, on the occasion of releasing of auto biography of Suravaram Sudhakara Reddy book titled” My journey with peoples”. The meeting was presided over by Kunamneni Sambasiva Rao,MLA, Telangana state secretary, CPI, on Wednesday i.e. on 84 th birthday of Sudhakara Reddy.Retd Justice B Sudershan Reddy also has been attended.

D. Raja, National general secretary, CPI, after unveiling the book while rendering memorial lecture has further stated that sudhakara Reddy has started his political career as a students leader and grown up as a legendary leader of CPI, step by step. Raja has appealed party ranks to work relentlessly for his goals and that will be real tribute to him. He has reminded the intimacy and affection with Sudhakara Reddy. He has appealed party ranks by stating that party cadres should live with people and should understand day today problems and take forward the movement. Then only party can transform into people’s party. We have to fight against all kinds of discrimination including gender discrimination. The fact is strength of the left in India is getting reduced day by day , the unity of all communists is the need of the hour. Sudhakara Reddy has relentlessly worked for that mission till his last breath. Party should be further strengthened by getting inspiration from the personal life , his political and ideological commitment, and become closer to people, appealed D.Raja.

D.Raja further stated that though sudhakara Reddy hailed from landlord family he has opted to work in agricultural labour front after relieving from students and youth fronts. This shows his class approach. As a parliamentarian he has contributed to drafting committee on Mahatma Gandhi National rural employment guarantee scheme. He has also raised his voice along with Gurudas Das Gupta the then another MP crom CPI,in parliament demandingg to bring back the black money stacked in foreign banks including Swiss Bank. That particular amount if distributed among people, each will get ₹15 lakhs, D. Raja reminded.

Retd justice B. Sudershan Reddy, while addressing has stated that Sudhakar Reddy has reached to peak as students leader, youth leader, best parliamentarian and above all as a communist leader and served the people with his great services.Though he is not with us physically at present but he will be amongst us ever. In his last days stated that whatever it was possible for him fulfilled tasks entrusted to him.

Kunamneni Sambasiva Rao, MLA, Telangana state secretary, CPI, while rendering presidential remarks has pointed out that his voice used to reverberate in parliament and his voice was replica of peoples voice.Huge gathering of masses from all sections of people at his funeral is best example for how people will pay their tributes to ideal communist leaders. He will be living with us by giving inspiration. He could not present physically to the centenary celebrations of CPI foundation meeting in Khammam. Finally Sambasivarao appealed party ranks that it will be great tribute to Sudhakara Reddy, if we advance further by fulfilling the responsibilities and tasks entrusted to us.

Kandimalla Pratap Reddy,senior CPI leader, while addressing has reminded the struggles launched by Sudhakara Reddy like voting right at the age of 18, employment or employment relief, abolition of privy purses, banks nationalisation, etc. as students and youth leader.

Palla Venkata Reddy, National secretariat member, CPI, while addressing has reminded that he as Munugodu MLA, and Sudhakara Reddy as NalgondaMP, how they worked relentlessly to bring krishna waters to erstwhile Nalgonda district while people were suffering with flouride contaminated water. Sudhakara Reddy was respected by any chief minister in those days. He was having speciality in personal life and also in political career.

Dr BV Vijaya Lakshmi, former national secretary, AITUC, while addressing has made it clear that he was never having intention of writing autobiography but he was compelled to write notes because of pressure from various sections of political leaders. On the basis of those notes, the book was completed. She has thanked every body who have extended their cooperation to bring out the book.

K. Srinivas Reddy, chairman Telangana media academy has reviewed the book.He has also pointed out that this book is not only useful for leftists and communists alone but also useful to all political leaders. He used to refer always that communists should always keep in mind the local problems and local situation . While reviewinghe has recollected his intimacy with Sudhakara Reddy and became emotional tears have came out.
