TL;DR: Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was stabbed multiple times during a burglary attempt at his Mumbai residence. The prime suspect, a Bangladeshi national using the alias Vijay Das, was arrested after police traced a digital payment he made for breakfast. Khan is recovering after surgery.

Hey folks! Brace yourselves for some shocking news from B-town. Our very own Nawab, Saif Ali Khan, was attacked in his Bandra home during the early hours of January 16. An intruder sneaked into his pad, and when confronted, things took a nasty turn. Saif was stabbed six times, suffering injuries to his spine, neck, and hands. He was rushed to Lilavati Hospital, where he underwent surgery. Thankfully, the docs say he's out of danger now.

Now, here's where it gets interesting. The Mumbai Police were on the hunt for the culprit and managed to nab him in Thane. The suspect, a 30-year-old Bangladeshi national named Mohammad Shariful Islam Shehzad, had illegally entered India and was living under the alias Vijay Das. He was working with a housekeeping agency in Mumbai.

So, how did the cops catch him? Turns out, after the attack, Shehzad was laying low. But hunger got the better of him, and he ordered a burji pav and a bottle of water at a food stall near Century Mill in Worli, using UPI for payment. This digital footprint led the police straight to his hideout in Thane, where he was arrested.

During interrogation, Shehzad confessed to the crime, stating that he had entered Saif's residence with the intention of theft. He was unaware that it was the actor's house. The police have recovered parts of the knife used in the attack and are investigating further to determine if there was any larger conspiracy involved.

This incident has sent shockwaves through the film industry and raised concerns about security in Mumbai. Many are calling for better policing and measures to ensure the safety of residents, especially public figures.

We wish Saif a speedy recovery and hope the authorities take swift action to prevent such incidents in the future. Stay safe, everyone!
