Bhakta Prahlada was the first Telugu film

Bhakta Prahlada's first Telugu talkie film was released in 1931 by H.M. Reddy, a pioneer in the Indian film industry. It is a classic mythology derived from the Vishnu Purana. Prahlad, the son of the demon Hiranya Kasipah (Subbaiah), worships Vishnu in defiance of his father. He is imprisoned, but Lord Vishnu rescues him.
