Scientists use a special instrument called LABS (Laser Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy) to study the south pole of the Moon. šØāš¬

It shoots a powerful laser at the surface. š„ It detects the elements based on the light emitted from it and sends the data to the scientists. š It will be analyzed by them. š The device was developed by the Laboratory for Electro Optics Systems, Bangalore. š
In the post, ISRO said, āIn-situ scientific experiments are underway. In-situ measurements by the rover's Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscope (LIBS) clearly confirmed the presence of sulfur (S) in the Moon. š” Surface near the South Pole. š ISRO said that the LIBS device was developed at ISRO's Bangalore Laboratory of Electro-Optics Systems. š Sulfur is flammable.
The discovery of traces of oxygen on the moon by Chandrayaan-3 can be considered as a major step forward in the field of space. š°ļøš Scientists who have been searching for a planet suitable for humanity for many years have been given a boost. š Experts are commenting that India has got the upper hand in research on the moon. š If hydrogen traces are also identified, there will be no turning back. š” With this, all countries will speed up their research. šŖ
