Rain is pouring daily in some part of Telangana. The second half of July was filled with heavy rains, and it seems like there's no end in sight. Some low-lying areas are still submerged, and the reservoirs are full. The weather department predicts light to moderate rains in the coming two days.
An upper air cyclonic circulation at 3.1 km above mean sea level over West Bengal and surrounding areas is causing these rains. Moderate rains are expected in Adilabad, Jagtial, Jangaon, Bhupalpally, Kamareddy, Karimnagar, Khammam, Komaram Bheem, Mahabubnagar, Mancherial, Mulugu, Nagarkurnool, Nalgonda, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Peddapalli, Rajanna Sircilla, Ranga Reddy, Siddipet, Suryapet, Warangal, Hanumakonda, and Bhongir districts. Gusty winds with speeds of 30 to 40 km/h and heavy rains in some areas are expected.
From 3 PM on Thursday, rains are likely in West Telangana, and from 5 PM onwards in Hyderabad and nearby areas.
Authorities advise people to stay indoors during the rains, as there is a chance of lightning and thunderstorms. The weather department officials forecast rains for the next five days across the state. People in low-lying areas should be cautious, and those living near canals and lakes should also stay alert.
