Adr Report Says 44 Pc Lok Sabha Mps Face Criminal Charges

The Association for Democratic Reforms-ADR conducted a study based on the documents filed as part of the election affidavits of MPs in the 17th Lok Sabha, which will end in a few days. In this, there are cases against any of the current MPs.. Among them, how many are criminal cases and serious crimes. The ADR report revealed that criminal cases have been registered against 44 percent of the MPs in the current Lok Sabha. And 5 percent of the MPs are millionaires. Each of them has a wealth of more than Rs. 100 crore. ADR has conducted this study based on the affidavits submitted to the Election Commission by 514 sitting MPs of the 17th Lok Sabha. Criminal cases have been registered against 225 out of 514 people who have filed election affidavits. This was revealed in a study by the Association for Democratic Reforms. According to this report, 5 percent of the sitting MPs are millionaires. It has been said that the wealth of these 5 percent MPs is more than 100 crores each. Another 29 percent of the MPs who have been registered with criminal cases have serious cases like murder, attempted murder, inciting religious hatred, kidnapping and crimes against women. Among them, cases of murder have been registered against a total of 9 people. It is noteworthy that five of them are ruling BJP MPs. If cases of attempted murder have been registered against 28 people, 21 of them belong to the BJP. The report reveals that 16 cases of crimes against women and 3 cases of rape have been registered.
