Hey folks! Cool news for you! The Indian Meteorological Department has issued another rain alert for Andhra Pradesh. Due to a surface trough, heavy rains are expected for the next three days. The Andhra Pradesh State Disaster Management Organization has released a statement confirming this.
Starting Tuesday, Parvathipuram Manyam, Alluri Sitarama Raju, and Eluru districts can expect scattered thunderstorms and moderate rainfall. In Rayalaseema, light rains accompanied by lightning are also forecasted. Mr. Ronanki Kurmanath, the MD of the Disaster Management Organization, mentioned this.
For tomorrow, there are chances of strong winds in 8 mandals of Srikakulam, 6 in Vizianagaram, 12 in Manyam, and 2 in Alluri districts.
On Wednesday, expect thunderstorms and scattered rains in Srikakulam, Parvathipuram Manyam, Alluri Sitarama Raju, East Godavari, Eluru, Kurnool, Nandyala, Anantapur, Sri Sathya Sai, YSR, Annamayya, Chittoor, and Tirupati districts. During thunderstorms, people are advised to stay alert and avoid being outside, especially in open areas or under trees. Farmers, agricultural workers, and shepherds should take extra precautions.
As of 6 PM on Monday, Obula Devara Cheruvu mandal in Sri Sathya Sai district recorded 42.5 mm of rainfall, Vedurukuppam in Chittoor district had 38.2 mm, Mandapeta in Konaseema and Kothavalasa in Vizianagaram had 30.5 mm, Addatheegala in Alluri district had 27.2 mm, and Narsipatnam in Anakapalli district had 26 mm of rainfall. About 30 areas experienced thunderstorms with rain. Meanwhile, the Hyderabad Weather Center has announced that Telangana will also see rains for the next three days.
