Suresh D

One lakh rupees per year for a woman (Women) in every poor family! Apprenticeship of one lakh rupees each for educated youth (Students) for one year! Removal of 50 percent ceiling on reservations! The minimum wage across the country including employment guarantee is Rs.400 per day! Formation of permanent loan waiver commission! Workers' Right to Health Act! These are only some of the promises that the Congress party will make if they come to power! The Congress has prepared its manifesto for the Lok Sabha elections to benefit all sections in defiance of Modi's guarantees. It gave final shape to the 'Five Justices' keeping in mind farmers, youth, women, workers and oppressed communities. 25 guarantees have been made in five justices created in the name of 'Intindiki Guarantee'. The Congress Working Committee (WCW), the highest policy making body, approved the five pledges prepared by the Manifesto Committee headed by P. Chidambaram. A CWC meeting was held at the Congress central office on Tuesday under the leadership of party president Mallikarjuna Kharge. Top party leaders Sonia, Rahul, General Secretary KC Venugopal, Telangana CM Revanth Reddy along with CWC members from Telugu states Pallamraju, T. Subbirami Reddy, Gidugu Rudraraju, Raghuveera Reddy and Vamsichand Reddy participated in this meeting. The CWC discussed the manifesto thoroughly for three hours. A resolution was passed congratulating Rahul on his India Jodo Nyay Yatra. Speaking on this occasion, Kharge criticized that the country wants change and Modi's guarantees are the same as the 'India Shining' slogan given by BJP in 2004. He said that it is the responsibility of all of us to ensure that the Manifesto gets wide publicity in various states and we are asked to take it to every home with commitment. In the press conference organized afterwards, Jairam Ramesh said that a plan has been prepared to take the promises of the Congress to the field level. KC Venugopal said that the Congress is fully prepared for the Lok Sabha elections. He described it as not just a manifesto but a 'Naya Patrama' designed to provide a better future for the people. He said that special attention has been given to the five justices and guarantees. In the name of 'Ghar Ghar Guarantee', they have decided to take guarantees from door to door. The CWC entrusted President Kharge with the power to not only give final approval to the manifesto but also to fix the date for its release. Reliable sources said that the implementation of the old pension scheme across the country was promised in the manifesto and the law should be brought to protect the freedom of constitutional institutions and prevent their misuse.
